There is one show that I would like to talk about a little more. During the last Fetish Sins (formerly known as Boudoir Bizarre, same party, different name) we agreed to do a “RopeMarks Interactive”. What this meant is that we would do a show and after this show the audience would get the opportunity to experience bondage our way, the RopeMarks way (based on their experience and my judgement of the situation).
Beforehand you would have to sign a waiver stating basically that you are not drunk or on any drugs and understand what you are getting yourself into (it doesn’t hurt to scare people a little :).
We did our show, an hour later as planned, at 03:00AM instead of 02:00AM. At this time of night one hour is a long time, especially if you know you need to do physically challenging things and that we would be on stage for at least 2 more hours.
With a little less enthusiasm because of the late hour and feeling a little like “going through the motions” instead of fully enjoying ourselves we did our show. Fortunately the show was received with enthusiasm and we moved on to the “interactive” part.
The “interactive” part is new for us, we’ve done bondage with other people before but that always was with people of our choice (friends, people we know and love), this was a “eat at RopeMarks” kinda situation where everybody could apply to experience a RopeMarks bondage. I like…love to do bondage… no, I love to do bondage but only when I know that the other person enjoys it equally much on the receiving end of my ropes. Besides that I must feel a “connection” with the person I tie, normally this would mean a big “connection” in the “RopeMarks Interactive” case there must at least be “something”, if that is not there the entire bondage-action would become… mechanical, soul-less… well, you know what I mean, right?
The “interactive” part started and the first “victim” :), a girl I knew but got to know a lot better that evening, was a lot of fun. When we were done it “happened”, a crowd was formed near the stage and people where pushing forward, or people where pushing their girlfriend forward. The second girl was someone I talked with before and sounded sincere in her motivations (not going for the sensation, not going for the RopeMarks name). This was an interesting (but positive) experience for the both of us. When we were done the madhouse in front of the stage got even stranger, more pushing, yelling and I got offered money(!) to please do someone’s girlfriend. The third “victim” I selected based on the judgement of a friend, another fun (but totally different) experience. At this time the craziness reached a peak. Two people offered money, one other simple jumped on stage there was more yelling… It was time to stop.
What I experienced with “RopeMarks Interactive” was a lot of disrespect towards me, the people truly interested in bondage and/or a RopeMarks experience and a disrespect towards themselves. I expected to do a lot of bondage with this action but come-on, I’m not a bondage-factory (yet:)! At least give me a few second to clean up the stage, but nooo.. Jump on the stage and use those nine inch heels to trample my rope…
Besides the madhouse I had a lot of fun and I learned a lot from “RopeMarks Interactive” and in part that is why I do it. Another part is getting people to know and maybe understand bondage a bit better.
So, after all this, would we do again? Yes! Definitely! 🙂 But the setup to do this would have to change. How? That’s something I’ll be thinking about for future “interactive” sessions. Let me know how you would set this up?
